Pacers make a statement against the Hawks: 96-84
The Pacers came to play last night even with that final score a bit deceiving. They allowed just nine points in the third quarter, while putting up twenty five to put this game away. They had a lead of twenty four points in the fourth quarter, and got another home winning taking their record to 4-0 at home. A well rounded effort as once again everyone seemed to contribute. Danny Granger lead the way and continued his strong performance at home against the Hawks as he scored 24 points on 9-16 shooting including 3-5 from three point range. Great night at the office for him, and I hope this shooting trend will continue. I think Granger needs to make shots to get his confidence going and get his belief in the rest of the team. He puts a lot of pressure on himself, and needs to let some of that go. Roy Hibbert got another double double, 12 points and 11 rebounds. Even Lance Stephenson had in what has been his best game with the Pacers putting up 12 points, but playing a smart game all together. The Pacers as a team were shooting over 50% at one point, but that dipped down to 45 %, which is still a better night than most nights they've had. They also hit 6-14 from three point range, which is a great night. Hopefully things can keep rolling as I see this was a statement game as long as they follow up and win in Toronto. Toronto is an expected win in my mind, and should be in the team's mind. Go up there and take care of the Raptors easily and quickly.
