Butler Gets it Done Against UIC: 57-49

A win is a win is the old cliche, and that definitely applies to last night's Butler win. It wasn't a pretty affair by any means.  Butler locked down on defense in the second half as they only allowed three field goals.  That's right three field goals.  If that's not a good defensive stand, I don't know what is.  Roosevelt Jones had his best game of his young Butler career getting a career high 16 points, and really setting the tone for Butler's offense.  Khlye Marshall was a rebound machine as he grabbed 10 rebounds, seven of which were of the offensive kind.  He was getting those second chances for the Bulldogs, which is great.  Butler might not always hit their shots, so getting a second chance is a great help.  Both teams shot under forty percent for the game, so points were at a premium as you can see by the final score.  But in the end, Butler did what they needed to do, and pulled into a closer spot to move up in the league standings.  Important game coming up next week, and Butler has a chance to move to the top, which would be a great thing.
