Pacers Look for Magic Tonight Against Orlando
Having completed a great West Coast Trek beating the Warriors and Lakers in the process, the Pacers head tonight back to the friendly confines of Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Tonight is a great opportunity to keep the ball rolling and get momentum for a huge match up with the Chicago Bulls tomorrow night. Talk about a tough back to back night, and one that will make the Pacers travel to Chicago right after tonight's game. The schedule isn't doing any favors there. The Magic will be pretty bitter tonight as well after scoring 56 points in a loss to the Celtics last night. That's right 56 points. The Pacers will need to come out swinging and put away the Magic right away. I think the best match up to watch tonight is Roy Hibbert versus Dwight Howard. In past years, I think Hibbert lacked that confidence to go against a tougher opponent, and I expect tonight to be the opposite. After coming back to play in Los Angeles and sporting a bunch of cotton stuffed up his nose, Hibbert showed so much more toughness than we have seen. He put up 18 points to really lead the way in more ways than one for the Pacers. The key tonight will be to give the ball to Hibbert early, and get his confidence going if he can score a few baskets right away on Howard. That seems to be the way Hibbert goes, if he can get going, it will be a good night for him. This team can show so much in these two games in my mind since we are almost to the quarter point of the season. Things will really start picking up soon, and it's important to get wins now.
