Butler Goes Down Last Night, But Still Can Turn Things Around.
Another tough loss for the Bulldogs, and the days to getting back to the tourney are shorter. Right now Butler sits in fourth in the Horizon league with only eight games left to play. It's not out of the realm to believe Butler could get in one of the top two spots and earn a bye in the league tourney. But winning that league tourney is the only way Butler is making the big dance. Then who knows what could happen? We all know how the last two years have gone. But Butler needs to get its offense going better as they only put up 42 points last night in a loss. There aren't many big scorers on the team, so ball movement and finding that open shot is key, but for some reason it hasn't happened that much. There's work to be done, but I am going to put my faith in the Bulldogs to find a way to make it happen just like they have been doing the past decade. This might not be the same type of team as the past two years, but there could be something special if things started clicking. Eight games to get it going. Eight games to get a winning streak moving. Eight games left to make a statement.
