The First Domino Goes Down
And the first fall for the Colts goes to Bill and Chris Polian. I am a bit surprised by this news, but probably shouldn't be shocked. The Polians have been involved for 12 years now, which is probably a lifetime. With the way teams have to change out so often, you have to give credit for Bill Polian and his ability to create a winning culture here in town. Just think how much the Colts have changed over the time he's been here. It helped that he came right when it was time to draft Peyton Manning. And now he'll have to be out a job when the time goes for the Colts to make this what could be franichise changing first round first draft pick. From the rumblings it sounded like Chris was going to be let go, but would you really just let the son go and not his dad? It was time for a change at the top, and now I'm interested to see who we bring in a GM. GM names are ones that you never even hear unless you're a fan of your own team. But there's no way I could predict what GM the Colts will bring in. Whatever time hopefully brings a bit of a change for the team. Once that gets squared away, the next question should be answered: what happens to Jim Caldwell? Personally I think his domino will fall next.
