Next Friday December 9th we officially get NBA stuff back and going. It should be a flurry of moves as teams get their stuff together for a shortened season and one that starts on Christmas Day. I am excited about the prospects for the Indiana Pacers, who actually have money to spend on a free agent who could really improve the team. There's a good core of young players here that should hopefully gel together even more this season. There's a head coach who seems excited to be coaching this time and has a good fiery spirit this team needs. Still tough to see what kind of free agent or trade moves the Pacers will actually make, but if there's something that can truly improve this team, they need to pull the trigger. After pushing the Bulls in a tough playoff series, the pieces are there to make some noise in the Eastern Conference this year. Personally, I would add a big man to the group who can do all the little stuff, like getting rebounds and hustle plays. It would be great to find another scorer to compliment Danny Granger, but not sure who fits that bill. This is the time that fans can get back to supporting this team, especially with the Colts having a down year. There's no excuses about bad apples here, and all that crap, so get out and give the Pacers your support if you love NBA basketball in this town.
