Reggie Miller in the Front Office of the Pacers??

Reggie Miller in the Front Office of the Pacers?

I saw someone tweeting about this, so I had to delve deeper and find if there was any truth to it, and look up this article I found.  Looks like Herb Simon does have his eye on Reggie to take over for Larry Bird after this season.  Of course there may not even be a full season, so I think if Miller did take the position, it would be a huge role to fill.  I just don't fully see him in this type of role.  I know he's always been such a big leader of the Pacers, but I think he loves the announcing job, and I enjoy him in that position.  I wasn't sure if that would fit him either, but he has grown into it.  Maybe that's how it could be with this front office job, and I am sure Miller would tackle the challenge because it would be quite the challenge.  It might get fans back supporting the Pacers even more since Reggie is so beloved, but would it tarnish his reputation and legacy if he couldn't fulfill the job?  What if the Pacers weren't able to make the strides that we fans want the team to make?  Would that be pinned on Miller??  And there could be the positive side where the Pacers get up to make some noise in the playoffs, and Reggie is a hero. So two interesting ways to look at it.  Definitely going to keep my ears and eyes on this story as more comes out.
