On the Sidelines 12- Help! I'm Locked Out Edition
Well it's official that the NBA has locked out, and the NFL is still locked out. There are still some stories coming out that we'll be talking about in this week's On the Sidelines, such as Top 10 NFL Players, Nike Re-signing Michael Vick, MLB All Star news, and a little NBA news.

On the Sidelines 11- No Fancy Title Edition
The NBA Draft was the high point of the sports world this week. A very interesting draft, one that saw, my hometown team, the Pacers, pick up an Indiana guy, George Hill, from the Spurs in a trade. Not exactly the best move in my book because I think of him as a backup point guard, and felt we were good in that department. Hopefully some more moves come down the road, as long as there is a NBA season, another worry we will have to think about. Still no news on the NFL side, so nothing to report. Baseball does have a couple of interesting coaching moves that I wanted to talk about, but other than that, it's a slow week for sports.

On the Sidelines 9- Are we there yet?
Trying to wrap up the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Finals. The Mavs will take the court tonight to put away the Heat, or else there's a game 7 on Tuesday night, and who knows what to expect from that game. The Stanley Cup Finals could finish up tomorrow night with the Canucks taking out the Bruins, or else there's a game 7 of that series on Wednesday night. Both series have been very interesting to watch and have had different sub plots come out of it. The cool thing to do in hockey now is to act like you're gonna bite someone's fingers, and the cool thing in the NBA is to make fun of someone who was sick and coughing all over the place. Good stuff! Another weekend of sports to talk about, and hope you'll enjoy this episode.

NBA Finals
Since it's quite possible, and I think it's gonna happen the NBA Finals will be over Sunday night with a win by the Mavericks, and take the NBA Championship. What will this finals be remembered for though? Probably the way Lebron didn't seem to show up in the fourth quarter. I think like most people I wanted Lebron to be great and cement his legacy by winning championships. I think most people want records to be broken and better things to come along. Yes we all love Jordan, and he's the greatest player ever. It's hard to imagine someone coming along and knocking him off the pedestal. Lebron was supposed to be that guy, but he went off to join Dwayne Wade, and try to get help to win a championship. Not that Jordan didn't have help either, but the Bulls were his team. The Heat are Wade's team, even if Lebron will have a great game. We've seen through this NBA Finals that the Heat goes as Wade goes. Lebron has had nine points in total in the fourth quarters. Dirk Nowitzki on the other hand had 52 points in the fourth quarter through four games. The Mavericks took care of business last night, and I do believe they'll end it Sunday Night. David Stern will get to hand that championship trophy to Mark Cuban who has been a bit of a pain for the NBA a few times. But he's truly the biggest Dallas Mavericks fan partly because he owns the team, but partly because you can just see how much he really loves the team, and loves the game of basketball. He sits down there right by the team, and truly shows his support. How many owners do that? Look at football, and all those owners are in luxurious press boxes, and far away from the team until things go bad. Cuban has been a supporter through thick and thin. This Finals will go to the Mavs, but will anyone remember that part of it?

On the Sidelines with Matthew and Stephen 8
We're at the end of the roads for NBA and NHL. The Mavs and Heat are tied at 1-1, which looks to be a good Finals matchup. Can Dirk get the ring that's eluded him his whole career, and finally cement his legacy as a player? Will Lebron win his first ring to up his profile? In NHL, the Cancucks scored a goal right at the end of the game to take a 1-0 lead on the Bruins. That series takes place tonight at 8:00 on NBC, so you can actually find the channel and watch it. Baseball is picking up. There's a bit of BIG news at Ohio State. Jim Tressel has "stepped down", which is code for he was asked to leave due to all the turmoil that's happening at Ohio State. What does the future hold for him? If it's like most coaches, he'll end up someplace else. That's some of the things we'll be talking about in this week's On the Sidelines.
